Last Week I attended an awesome Fabrice Crosby Performance at the Italian Mood ,one of the coolest venue in SL where it’s often possible to enjoy the best music performed inworld: there is where I attended the performance of Fabrice Crosby and his virtual band.

What I’ve seen is a new kind of show involving a virtual band and
dancers for a visual and esthetic musical event

Nice vibes at the club! Everyone liked that live performance of sound and dance, a true delight for both eyes and ears:I may assure you that it was comparable to the feeling we’re used to in an RL show!

It’s always a pleasure when you’re able to meet a singer and
songwriter who has something really “new” to say inworld, because often you can’t find here anything but the same old covers in the same “old fashioned” venues…

Talking to him after the show I discovered that he is a RL professional independent musician with a deep and wide passion for music in many of its aspects
From jazz to electronic music, not to mention blues, pop and folk. He is also very curious about new culture emerging with the new technologies. Since he came to SL, he has been very creative to try new ways of promoting his music, trying to fit as close as possible the SL culture .

His famous frog “bluesy groovy” has entertained thousands of Second Life residents. He was one of the first musician to use an inworld player allowing SL citizens to listen to his songs freely on their parcels.

Fabrice is absolutely trying new ways to spread and sell his music over the web. His main idea is to make his music available for free on the web and allow his fans to choose to support it or not with some tips and donations.
During his live gigs he performs only original songs, whose lyrics and music are all written by him and that are now included into his brand new album, Rouge et Bleus

I listened to this CD and I may assure you that it shows his very personal sound at its best, at the crossroads between jazz, blues, rock and the French song tradition.
Some of the best French blues musicians joined Fabrice to record this album and it’s really amazing that RL musicians consider SL as a true source of inspiration!

He told me that he feels to be mainly a musician, enjoying playing his music for friends and newcomers.

He used to enlight our Second Life moments with the blue notes of his guitar and piano, with his warm voice and with the poetic touch of his texts during his solo live performances!

“C’est comme tu veux”, exclusively based on SL Machinima, the first clip of this kind in Second Life

I invite you to enjoy this bittersweet SL love story and its charming soundtrack!
